2012 Feature Meetings

Redcar Racecourse holds 18 race days throughout the season, from April to November so you've got plenty of choice for a great day out.

Easter Monday = Monday 9th April (Bank Holiday)

Our traditional Easter Monday race day is a great day for families and friends to get together.

There'll be plenty of children's entertainment, including: bouncy castles, face painting, balloon modelling and a magician! Free mini egg for early arrivals (subject to availability).

Join ex-jockey Jimmy Bleasdale for a Behind the Scenes tour of the racecourse including a visit to the Weighing Room. The tour will start at 12.15pm – please meet in front of the Petch Stand if you’d like to take part.  

Zetland Gold Cup Day = Monday 4th June                       (Bank Holiday)

The highlight of the Spring racing season, featuring the iconic Zetland Gold Cup race which has been won on the past 2 runnings by Newmarket trained horses.

Lots of family entertainment - bouncy castles, slides, face painters and  stilt walkers - great entertainment for the half term week.

Ladies' Day = Saturday 23rd June

If you're more of a social racegoer then Ladies' Day on Saturday 23rd June is a great excuse to buy a new outfit - there's always a chance you could win some great prizes too!

Great racing meets glamour on Ladies' Day. Alongside the 8 races planned for the day we also have Best Dressed Lady and Best Hat Competitions taking place during the afternoon.

Help For Heroes Family Fun Day = Sunday 22nd July

It’s Help For Heroes Family Fun Day at Redcar Races on Sunday (22nd JULY) – the second day of the Yorkshire Summer Racing Festival.

If it's value for money your looking for then you can't beat Redcar Racecourse for a affordable and fun filled family day out in the Tees Valley (formally known as Teesside). Tickets start from £5 for adults and children under 16 get in for FREE!!! (When accompanied by an adult).

We’ve got lots of entertainment for children - Fairgroun rides, bouncy castles, slides, face painters, balloon modeller, stilt walkers  and  Children's Entertainers! – it’ll be a great day for families and friends

 
Caribbean Carnival Day = Saturday 11th August

Come join the party on a trip to the Caribbean islands.

Children and adults can enter the Caribbean Fancy Dress Competition by dressing up in their pirate outfit or grass skirt.  To add to the atmosphere we will have The North Tyneside Steel Band performing throughout the day and we’ll be giving away Caribbean themed merchandise-so get here early!

Saturday 25th August = Ladies' & Gents' Evening

 Tote Two Year Old Trophy Day = Saturday 6th October

The highlight of the Autumn racing season featuring the £150,000  Two Year Old Trophy (Channel4), the listed Guisborough Stakes, and the final of the John Smith's Straight Mile Championship Series.  

 Admission Details:

Discounted rates available for advance group bookings.

Inclusive entrance packages also available starting from £13.00 per person

Children under 16 admitted FREE of charge when accompanied by an adult.
