2010 Feature Meetings

Redcar Racecourse holds 19 race days throughout the season, from April to October so you've got plenty of choice for a great day out.

Easter Monday = Monday 5th April (Bank Holiday)

Start the racing season with our traditional Easter Monday race day. A great day for families and friends to get together.

There'll be plenty of children's entertainment, including: bouncy castles, face painting, balloon modelling and a magician! Free mini egg for early arrivals (subject to availability).

Zetland Gold Cup Day = Monday 31st May (Bank Holiday)

The highlight of the Spring racing season, featuring the iconic   Zetland Gold Cup race offering a prize fund of £150,000.

Lots of family entertainment - bouncy castles, slides, face painters and a jazz band - great entertainment for the half term week.

Ladies' Day = Saturday 19th June

If you're more of a social racegoer then Ladies' Day on Saturday 19th June is a great excuse to buy a new outfit - there's always a chance you could win some great prizes too!

Great racing meets glamour on Ladies' Day. Alongside the 7 races planned for the day we also have Best Dressed Lady and Best Hat Competitions taking place during the afternoon.

Lads' Night = Thursday 1st July (evening)

Calling all men!  And ladies of course!

Are you looking for something different? Want to be entertained? Then come along to our Lads' Night, we have lots on offer to make it a night to remember. The ideal stag night or birthday celebration!

Be dazzled by our Las Vegas stilt walking ladies or try your luck at the FunCasino. There's even the opportunity to challange darts legend Bobby George to a game of darts!

For the well heeled there's even a Best Dressed Gentleman Competition with some top prizes up for grabs!

Help For Heroes Family Fun Day = Sunday 18th July

It’s Help For Heroes Family Fun Day at Redcar Races on Sunday (18 JULY) – the second day of the Yorkshire Summer Racing Festival.

If it's value for money your looking for then you can't beat Redcar Racecourse for a affordable and fun filled family day out in the Tees Valley (Formally known as Teesside). Tickets start from £5 for adults and children under 16 get in for FREE!!! (When accompanied by an adult).

We’ve got lots of entertainment for children - Fairgroun rides, bouncy castles, slides, face painters, balloon modeller, stilt walkers  and  Children's Entertainers! – it’ll be a great day for families and friends

 
Caribbean Carnival Day = Saturday 7th August

Come join the party on a trip to the Caribbean islands.

Children and adults can enter the Caribbean Fancy Dress Competition by dressing up in their pirate outfit or grass skirt.  To add to the atmosphere we will have The North Tyneside Steel Band performing throughout the day and we’ll be giving away Caribbean themed merchandise-so get here early!

Marske Hall Family Fun Day = Sunday 8th August
 

New for 2010 Redcar Racecourse is joining forces with the Marske Hall Leonard Cheshire Disability home to raise money for this worth while charity.

As always, youngsters aged under 16 are given free admission when accompanied by an adult.

80's Party Night  = Saturday 28th August 

1980'S HERE WE COME!   Experience the thrill of a night at the races and dance the night away to the fantastic 80's tribute bands DIONNE ANDRE’S ABSOLUTE 80’S and THE WILD BOYS who will be performing straight afer the final race. The bars will be staying open later than usual and the preformance will be shown on the big screen.

There will also be a great 80's theme fancy dress competition.  As they say, you've got to be in it to win it so roll up your suit sleeves, dig out your flouncy cuffed shirts and flourescent socks and join in the fun!

 Two Year Old Trophy Day = Saturday 2nd October

The highlight of the Autumn racing season featuring the £150,000  Two Year Old Trophy (Channel4), the listed Guisborough Stakes, and the final of the John Smith's Straight Mile Championship Series.
