As the Go Racing in Yorkshire Summer Festival approaches there are some fantastic events during the 8 day spectacular.

Everything kicks off at Ripon on Saturday 22nd July.  A warm welcome awaits all Ripon racegoers with exceptional racing providing a fitting start to this year’s Festival.

Moving to Redcar on Sunday 23rd July for Help for Heroes Day.  This is a family fun day so great fun for all the family with plenty to entertain the kids.

For party people Beverley is the place to be on Monday night, 24th July for a fabulous Carnival night.  New York Band, Samba Dancers, Carnival Floats and much more awaits so you can party the Monday blues away.

Visit Catterick on Wednesday 26th for a summer afternoon of Yorkshire racing on this friendly, relaxed northern racecourse.

Thursday 27th July racing moves to Doncaster for an evening to remember. Not only will the racing be up to Doncaster’s thrilling standard but to finish your night you can enjoy a DJ set from RADIO 1 DJ Scott Mills.

Friday 28th July is a racing marathon, starting at Thirsk in the afternoon and moving to York for the evening.  At York racegoers will be treated to Jess Glynne live after racing. Saturday 29th is Sky Bet Day at York.  Stay on after racing and see All Saints live on stage.

The final day of the Festival finishes at Pontefract with Family Day. The Picnic Enclosure is packed with Children’s Rides, Bouncy Castle and don’t forget to look out for the festival mascot Festival Freddie, he would love to have his photo taken with you.

The Leading Jockey of the festival will receive their cheque for £500 at Pontefract courtesy of TVF Promotions and will also get to present a cheque of £500 to the Yorkshire Air Ambulance, our supported charity of the festival again very kindly donated by TVF Promotions.

The Leading Trainer will also be crowned, Mark Johnston will be the one to beat after holding this title for two years in a row. The winning trainer will get a rare night to relax at the exceptional Goldsborough Hall Hotel in Knaresborough.
