Monday 15 January 2018

Ascot's first meeting of 2018 takes centre stage in an action-packed week with no less than 11 meetings on the channel.

The Royal Salute Whisky Clarence House Chase is the highlight of the week as Willie Mullins' Un De Sceaux looks to make history by becoming the first horse to win the race three times. The Grade 1 showpiece often acts as a pointer for the Queen Mother Champion Chase at the Cheltenham Festival as six horses have won both races in the same season, including the great Sprinter Sacre.

Also this week we visit Haydock Park for a trio of Grade 2 races including the Peter Marsh Chase and the Unibet Champion Hurdle Trial Hurdle.

Plus, on the channel you can enjoy the return of This Racing Life as Nick Lightfoot and the team visit Taunton racecourse, Anthony Honeyball and Jack Barber alongside racing from the likes of Newbury, Musselburgh and Wincanton.
