John Smith's Qualifier Featured On Thursday

Redcar’s second meeting of the season - a seven-race programme on Thursday (April 29) – is scheduled to begin at 2-00 p.m. and features the second qualifying race in The John Smith’s Redcar Straight-Mile Championship Series, a popular handicap series at the seaside racecourse which culminates in a £25,000 Final on Saturday, October 2

The series began on Easter Monday with a victory by Exit Smiling, trained at Westow in North Yorkshire by Paul Midgley.

The opening race is The Win A VIP Day Out @ redcarracing.co.uk Maiden Stakes, a contest for two-year-olds, the title of which refers to a competition in Thursday’s racecard for a special day out for two people at one of Redcar’s big days of the season - totesport Zetland Gold Cup Day on Bank Holiday Monday, May 31.

The big screen, situated opposite the main stands, will enable race-goers to follow all of the action on the track. Annual membership for 2010 is still available.
