Redcar stages a seven-race programme on Monday (May 11), when racing is scheduled to begin at 2-20 p.m. with a contest for maiden two-year-olds.

Fillies are in the spotlight in The Commitments Performing Here On 29th August Fillies’ Handicap Stakes over seven furlongs and The Redcar Racecourse Conference & Events Venue Maiden Fillies’ Stakes – a contest for sprinters over six furlongs.

Monday’s card also features the third qualifying race in The Boddingtons Redcar Straight-Mile Championship Series, a popular handicap series at the seaside racecourse which culminates in a £30,000 Final on Saturday, October 3.

Redcar’s brewing partner, InBev UK, support the series which began on Easter Monday with a victory by Wovoka, trained at Scorton near Richmond by David Barker, while Paquerettza, took last week’s second leg for South Yorkshire trainer, David Brown.

The big screen, situated opposite the main stands, will enable race-goers to follow all of the action on the track.
