TEES VALLEY RACECOURSE WELCOMES THE COMMITMENTS TO SATURDAY PARTY NIGHT

REDCAR Racecourse is galloping towards another bumper horse racing occasion on the August Bank Holiday weekend, Saturday 29th August.

The crowds poured into the Tees Valley racecourse for its Caribbean Carnival and Save Our Steel family fun day last weekend.

Next, it’s the final evening racing fixture of the year on Saturday 29 August when soul band The Commitments are flying over from Ireland for a concert after the races have been run.

General manager Amy Fair said: “We were delighted that so many families had so much fun last weekend, with lots of children in fancy dress for the Caribbean Carnival day.

“And, not only was Sunday another day for families to enjoy, but we were also able to raise the profile of the campaign to save jobs in Tees Valley, with our MP Vera Baird and council leader George Dunning here with us.”

On Saturday 29 August, there are six horse races between 5.20pm and 7.50pm.

The Commitments will come on stage shortly after 8pm and perform for 90 minutes, with music from the Bafta award-winning film.

General admission

Entrance gates open at 3.20pm.
Grandstand £15; Course Enclosure £5.
Seniors - £9 Grandstand and £3.50 Course Enclosure.
Accompanied children 16 always admitted FREE of charge.
