THE COMMITMENTS ARE FLYING IN FOR REDCAR RACECOURSE’S SATURDAY PARTY NIGHT

IRISH soul band The Commitments are on their way to Tees Valley to entertain the crowds at Redcar Racecourse. The special concert has been lined up for the last evening horse racing meeting of the year on Saturday 29 August.
The Commitments will come on stage shortly after the last horse race of the evening and perform for an hour and a half, with music from the Bafta award-winning film. The racecourse’s bars will also be staying open late.
The racecourse’s general manager Amy Fair said: “This is a real coup for the racecourse, and we are thrilled to have secured such a top band for our Saturday Party Night.
“The Commitments are famous all over the world, and have played for presidents, prime ministers and royalty, so it will be a tremendous occasion.”
The racecourse is urging visitors to book their tickets in advance to avoid any queues, but it is not essential to do so.

On Saturday 29 August, there are six horse races between 5.20pm and 7.50pm. Entrance gates open at 3.20pm.

Grandstand £15; Course Enclosure £5. Accompanied children 16 always admitted free of charge. Seniors - £9 Grandstand and £3.50 Course Enclosure.
