RETURN OF SPECTATORS FAQs

Welcome Back!

We are delighted to be able to support the safe return of spectators to racecourses. 

The following information may be helpful to you in advance of your visit to the racecourse during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Ahead of the day

Admission is available at the gate for all race meetings. Admission tickets are discounted when purchased in advance of the raceday.

If you develop any Covid-19 symptoms or are required to self isolate you must not travel to the racecourse.  If you have bought your tickets in advance please contact the racecourse office in advance of the race meeting to arrange a full refund.

On the day

  • If you develop any Covid-19 symptoms or are required to self isolate please DO NOT TRAVEL TO THE RACECOURSE
  • Car Parking is FREE at the racecourse and is available on a "first come, first served" basis.  The gates will be open from 2 hours prior to the first race.
  • There are limited parking spaces in the Grandstand Enclosure trackside car park and this area is likely to fill up.  If you book this option you will be sent a car park mirror hanger in advance of the race meeting which will need to be on display to gain access to this car park.
  • Please ensure that you are familiar with the Covid-19: Spectator Code of Conduct prior to arrival.
  • If you have already bought your tickets in advance please have your tickets ready to be scanned. You can show your e-tickets on your phone - please have the ticket attachment open and ready for scanning.
  • Please be respectful of other racegoers.
  • Sanitising stations are in place around the racecourse to allow customers to sanitise as they wish.
  • Face masks are no longer mandatory.  We will still be politely encouraging customers to continue to wear masks when in doors and ensure they are distancing where possible.  
  • Our team will continue to wear masks and to social distance from you.  Our team come into contact with many people daily and so we will be doing everything we can to keep everyone, including you, safe.
  • Our clean team will continue to sanitise frequently touched contact points regularly.
  • Please respect all queue management systems and social distancing protocols.
  • NHS Track & Trace sign in will still be on display and whilst it is no longer mandatory to sign in we encourage you to do so.
Do I have to book my tickets in advance?

Admission is available at the gate with options to pay by cash or card in the Grandstand, and cash in the Course Enclosure. Admission tickets are discounted when purchased in advance of the raceday.

Tickets are available to book online here

Pre-booked E-tickets will be sent with booking confirmation email.

E-Tickets can either be printed or shown on a phone at the gates.

Can children attend?

Yes, children under 18 can come racing for free but must be accompanied by a paying adult.

What if I develop symptoms or have to self-isolate after I've bought my ticket?

Please DO NOT attend the racecourse if you develop symptoms or have to self-isolate.

Contact the racecourse office to arrange a full refund.

Will I be able to buy food & drink at the course?

Bar facilities are provided in the Malton, Middleham, and Zetland Bars.  Takeway food will be on offer from the Middleham and Zetland Bars, and concession units within the Grandstand Enclosure.

Please respect all queue management systems and social distancing protocols.

The Crow's Nest and Voltigeur Restaurants are available from 31st May and are open to those with a restaurant package booking only. Unfortunately we cannot accept walk ins as we have done previously.

Racegoers are NOT permitted to bring any personal supplies of food or drink into the Grandstand Enclosure.

Will I need to wear a facemask / covering?
