We are delighted to be able to support the safe return of spectators to racecourses from 17th May onwards. 

Your raceday will be different to previous visits, so please take some time to read the information below and familiarise yourself with the new protocols.

  • All tickets must be booked in advance. To protect everyone's health, we require contact details for each individual and consent to the Covid-19: Spectators Code of Conduct before entry to the racecourse.

  • You may only book tickets for your household or support bubble, and there is a maximum of 6 tickets per order.
  • If you develop any Covid-19 symptoms you must not travel to the racecourse, entry will be denied. If you develop symptoms or if you are required to self isolate on race day, please contact the racecourse office to arrange a full refund.
  • If you develop Covid-19 symptoms, please DO NOT TRAVEL TO THE RACECOURSE. Contact the racecourse office for a full refund.
  • Your spectator ticket will give you access to the Amber Spectator Zone. Please respect all signage and DO NOT attempt to cross into other zones. 
  • General Public parking is in the Main Entrance Car Park off Redcar Lane - postcode for SatNavs is TS10 2FD
  • Car Parking is FREE but must be reserved as numbers are limited.
  • The gates will be open from 1 hour prior to the first race. Please ensure that you are familiar with the Covid-19: Spectator Code of Conduct prior to arrival.
  • When you arrive, please compy with any health checks that may be required and be aware that your temperature may be taken. Please bring photo ID with you to show on arrival.
  • Please be respectful of other racegoers.
  • Please remember to sanitise and wash your hands regularly and ensure you bring a facemask to the course as you will be required to wear one at all times, except when eating or drinking and maintain social distancing of at least 2m at all times on the course.
  • Bar facilities are provided in the Malton, Middleham, and Zetland steppings.  Takeway food will be on offer from the concession unit within the Amber Zone.
  • Please note all food and drink must be consumed outside, whilst seated. Please respect all queue management systems and social distancing protocols.
  • The Crow's Nest and Voltigeur Restaurants are available from 31st May and are open to those with a restaurant package booking only. Unfortunately we cannot accept walk ins as we have done previously.
  • In line with current government guidelines, please ensure that you follow the rule of six (6 people or two households) in any indoor setting, and do not gather in groups of more than 30 outdoors.
How do I Book Tickets?

Tickets will be available to book online here. All tickets must be booked in advance, there will be no sales on the day.

E-tickets will be sent with booking confirmation email.

Tickets can either be printed or shown on a phone at the gates.

Can children attend?

Yes, children under 18 can apply for a free child's ticket for the Grandstand & Paddock Enclosure. Pre-registration is essential, click here to book.

Face coverings are not needed for children under the age of 11.  All children over the age of 11 must wear a face mask at all times whilst at the racecourse unless you are eating, drinking, or if you have medical dispensation.

All children must be accompanied by an adult.

What if I develop symptoms or have to self-isolate after I've bought my ticket?

Please DO NOT attend the racecourse if you develop symptoms or have to self-isolate.

Contact the racecourse office to arrange a full refund.

What are the raceday zones?

To ensure the safety of racegoers and the sport's participants, we have created two colour coordinated zones within the racecourse.

GREEN ZONE: This is restricted to jockeys, trainers, officials and racecourse personel. The area includes the Weighing Room, Parade Ring, Stables and Racecourse Office.

AMBER ZONE: This area is for Owners, Hospitality guests and General Admission ticket holders. It includes the main racecourse concourse and various bars.

Will I be able to buy food & drink at the course?

Yes. There will be a bar service available from the Malton, Middleham and Zetland Steppings bars and takeaway food can be purchased from the concession unit within the Amber Zone.

Please be aware that all food and drink must be consumed outside, whilst seated and be respectful of any queue management systems and social distancing protocols.

Will I need to wear a facemask / covering?

Yes, unless you are medically exempt.

Face masks/coverings MUST be worn at all times whilst on the racecourse, except while eating or drinking.

What about social distancing?

Social distancing will be in place across the course and supported by our stewards.

Please ensure you observe 2m social distancing at all times, whether inside or outside on the racecourse.
