LITTLE Clark Latheron used the inspiration of his favourite pantomime character, Captain Hook, to win a treasure chest of sweeties at Redcar's Caribbean Carnival Day today.

Clark, 4, from Redcar, dressed up as the Peter Pan villain and was chosen as the winner of junior fancy dress competition.

As well as dressing up, Clark also impressed chief judge, Jo Vickers, of Vickers Bet, with his fearsome pirate's impression.

Clark's win was watched by mum, Louise, and dad, Jason - a Superman fan, who named his son after Clark Kent.

Jason said: "He just loves Captain Hook and anything to do with pirates so, when we heard about Caribbean Carnival Day, we decided to pop down."

The adult competition was won by another pirate, Vintie Colton, a museums curator from Selkirk, in the Scottish Borders.
