The finalists will be shortlisted (10 for each competition) and the finalists photographs will be displayed at the Parade Ring cat walk from 3pm onwards. Please come to the Parade Ring cat walk to see if you're a finalist
The judging of the Best Dressed Lady Competition will take place in the Winners' Enclosure after the 4th race, and the Best Hat Competition will take place after the 5th race.
The competition will run from 11.00 – 14.00 on Saturday 22nd June, 2024. After this date no further entries to the competition will be permitted. If you enter after this date, your entry will not be counted.
If you've like to have your photo taken but don't want to be considered for the Best Dressed & Best Hat competitions please come along to the Parade Ring stage & cat walk after 2pm.
These times are provisional and will be confirmed 48hrs before the race meeting once declarations have been finalised.
However, Ladies' Day is our most popular social raceday of the season, it’s the day to be seen at the races, so there are always queues at the entrance turnstiles.
You can buy your tickets in advance until 2pm on the day.

There are no discounts or concessions available on the day.

Admission includes a complimentary eco-friendly racecard for all adults.
We always advise racegoers to buy their admission tickets in advance.
When you buy your e-tickets they’ll be delivered to you email within a minute. If you can access your emails on your mobile phone there is no need to print your e-tickets, just download our app. When you arrive at the pre paid entrance just have your e-ticket open on your mobile phone ready to be scanned by our entrance gate attendant.
When you’ve already got your ticket you’ll have a fast track entrance into the Racecourse enclosures and so miss the queues at the turnstiles.
You can access your tickets via the Redcar Racecourse app.
Redcar does not operate a formal dress code so you can wear whatever you like.
Ladies' Day is a day when our racegoers tend to dress to impress so you'll see lots of ladies in fancy outfits with big hats or fascinators. However, you don't need to dress up if you don't want to, and jeans are equally acceptable.
There is no need for gentlemen to wear suits and ties. Racegoers are advised to wear smart casual clothing, and dress for the weather!
Picnics are permitted in the Course Enclosure only and there are a number of picnic benches around the enclosure. Racegoers are permitted to bring alcohol into the Course Enclosure however this is limited to personal consumption only - 4 cans of beer, lager, premixed "gin tin" spirits, or 1/2 bottle of wine per person. Spirits and glass bottles are NOT permitted.
Racegoers are not permitted to bring any personal supplies of food or drink into the Grandstand Enclosure. Only refreshments purchased within the racecourse can be consumed in the Grandstand Enclosure.
Patrons are asked to respect the restrictions places on the marked areas of the Racecourse Stands and Enclosures where drinks are not permitted. Alcohol is permitted outside in plastic glasses. Broken glass and bottles are dangerous and in the interest of safety and the comfort of others please don not carry drinks into the areas adjacent to the Parade Ring and Unsaddling Enclosure.
Please dispose of your empty glasses and bottles in the containers provided.
Portable / disposable BBQs and Gazebos are not permitted within the racecourse enclosures. Please do not bring them with you as you will be refused entrance.

Despite the name of the day, everyone is allowed to come racing on Ladies' Day. Men and children are most welcome. Also, accompanied children under 18 are admitted FREE to all of our race meetings.
Redcar's Best Dressed Lady competition winner will go on to represent Redcar in the final of the Go Racing In Yorkshire Grand Final.

The competition is open to participants aged 16 years or over with a valid Ladies’ Day ticket allowing access to the Redcar Racecourse Enclosures, except for employees of Redcar Racecourse Ltd and anyone otherwise connected with the organisation or judging of the competition.
There is no entry fee to enter this competition.
By entering this competition, an entrant is indicating his/her agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.

The rules of the competition and how to enter are as follows:
Have your photograph taken by the Best Dressed team at the Parade Ring stage and then fill in your details and submit your entry into the entries box. If you are selected as a finalist you will be contacted by telephone and invited to the Winners’ Enclosure for the competition. If the team cannot get in touch with you by 14.45 they have the right to select another finalist in your place.
The promoter reserves the right to cancel or amend the competition and these terms and conditions without notice.
Any changes to the competition will be notified to entrants as soon as possible by the promoter.
The promoter is not responsible for inaccurate prize details supplied to any entrant by any third party connected with this competition. The prize is as stated and no cash or other alternatives will be offered. The prizes are not transferable or refundable. Prizes are subject to availability and we reserve the right to substitute any prize with another of equivalent value without giving notice.
The winners will be chosen by a judging panel. The winner will be announced at Redcar Racecourse Ltd. and presented with the prize or confirmation of the prize including details of how to receive if applicable.
Redcar Racecourse Ltd’s decision in respect of all matters to do with the competition will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
