The services that the Redcar Racecourse Ltd (RRC) provides to a person are subject to the following Terms and Conditions (T&C).  All persons visiting the property of the RRC are admitted subject to these Regulations and to the Rules of Racing. RRC reserves the right to update the T&C at any time and without prior notice.

All persons entering the property of the RRC for whatever reason, agree that in doing so they will comply with such notices and instructions that may be given by the management and staff, and take reasonable care themselves and for others who may be affected by their acts or omissions  for which they accept liability and responsibility.

The Management reserves the right to refuse admission or remove any person(s) who in their opinion may pose a risk to other persons and property within the racecourse or its environs

No person must enter the premises if they do not agree to accept the conditions of entry.

Admission

  • RRC reserves the right to refuse admission or expel without prior notice, any racegoer who, in the reasonable opinion of RRC, behaves, or is likely to behave, in an unruly manner or in a manner likely to give offence to other racegoers.
  • RRC does not accept responsibility for the loss or damage to persons or their property.
  • It is condition of entry that the Management and Staff instructions of RRC are complied with at all times.
  • RRC does not operate a formal dress code but racegoers are encouraged to wear smart casual clothing.  RRC reserves the right to refuse admission to anyone considered to be unsuitably or offensively dressed.
  • Glass bottles and glass, china or metal receptacles must NOT be brought into the Racecourse. 
  • Picnics with a limited amount of alcohol for personal consumption (4 cans beer / lager or 1/2 bottle of wine per person) are only permitted in the Course Enclosure. 
  • No food or drink may be brought into the Grandstand Enclosure.
  • To assist compliance with the Health Act 2006, it is against the law to smoke within any facility or stand within RRC and where Non-smoking signs are displayed.  Smoking is permitted in all outside areas, and those partaking of tobacco products are requested to make use of the smoking receptacles provided.
  • The use of laptops or tablets is strictly controlled and they may not be used in public areas, including all bars and restaurants. Failure to comply could result in your removal from the premises.
  • Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a full paying adult. Each child will have the identical status to that of the ticket presented by the accompanying adult.
  • Dogs are not permitted into any Redcar Event. Only guide dogs or service dogs will be allowed on site. It is a condition of admission that no animals are left unattended within vehicles and owners acknowledge that Redcar personnel or their appointed contractor shall be entitled to enter any vehicle by whatever means necessary at the owner’s cost in the event that any animal has been left in any vehicle.
  • Spectators and guests are encouraged and permitted to film and record any events and publish any content on any media subject to the following condition: by filming and recording such content You agree that Redcar shall have a perpetual, royalty free, sub-licensable and worldwide licence to use such content in whole or in part in any online or offline promotional, advertising or publicity material or in any format and for any purpose whatsoever, including (but not limited to) TV packages, online players, YouTube, Facebook, Snapchat, Twitter, Vine, Instagram and Dailymotion. Redcar acknowledges that You shall retain ownership of copyright in the content.
  • Where you are purchasing admission for a Redcar event you acknowledge that at such events photographs and moving images may be taken by Redcar or by others acting on Redcar’s behalf as well as by other members of the public and that your image may be included either deliberately or accidentally in such photographs and moving images. By purchasing tickets for a Redcar Event or by attending such event you agree to release and assign to Redcar permission to licence all images, whether still or moving, and to use such images, as well as any associated sound recordings, in any media for any purpose which may include, amongst others, reporting, advertising, promotion, marketing and publicity for any product, service or future event. You agree that any images may be combined with other images, graphics or text (including your name), cropped, edited altered or modified. You further agree that Redcar will have all rights to such images and associated sound recordings in perpetuity and you acknowledge and agree that Redcar is not liable for any further payment, consideration, accounting or further claim for any reason.
Badges & Tickets

  • Badges & tickets purchased will not be eligible for refunds, except in the event of the case of abandonment. 
  • Badges & tickets are strictly non-transferable and may not to be resold under any circumstances.  Title remains with RRC at all times.
  • Badges & tickets will be forwarded by standard Royal Mail post on bookings received up to 5 working days in advance of the race meeting.
  • Once tickets have been posted they are the responsibility of the purchaser.  RRC will not accept liability for tickets not received.
  • Badges & tickets will be retained at the Racecourse for bookings received during the 5 working days leading up to the race meeting.  These badges and tickets can be collected on the day of racing at the Racecourse Office.  Customers collecting badges or tickets must be able to provide full details of the order including name and address details
  • Replacement tickets will not be issued for lost, stolen or defaced tickets.
  • Advance Booking/Group discounts are offered on tickets at the discretion of RRC and can be amended or withdrawn at any time, without prior notice.
  • The Annual Badge scheme is a discounted admission scheme for the duration of the racing season.  Annual badge holders are not entitled to any discounts or refunds in the event of race meeting(s) being abandoned.
  • Special Offer packages are only available through advance purchase and cannot be purchased at the turnstiles on the day of racing.
  • Special Offer packages are not eligible for additional advance or group booking discounts.
Abandonment Policy

Unfortunately, as with most outdoor pursuits, horseracing occasionally finds itself subject to adverse weather conditions and as such Redcar operates a fair abandonment policy for daily admission in order to manage these occasions, which is as follows:

  • Before the 1st race – Full refund
  • Before the 3rd race – 50% refund
  • After the 3rd race – No refund.

In the event of abandonment, no refunds will be issued on the day.

All refund applications must be claimed by writing to the racecourse office within 14 days of the date of the meeting.  Please return your daily tickets or badges, with the name and address of who is to receive the refund and provide details as to how they were originally purchased.

Please note that if you have purchased advance packages which include refreshment and racecard vouchers you must also return these in order to gain a full refund.

Gift Vouchers

Redemption

  • Gift vouchers and e-gift vouchers can be redeemed:
    • online - www.redcarracing.co.uk by entering the unique gift voucher code at the checkout stage.
    • telephone - contact us on 01642 484 068 and place your order over the telephone.  Please quote your gift voucher code at the time of booking before payment is taken.
    • post - send the voucher to Redcar Racecourse, Redcar, Tees Valley with a covering note including your full name, full postal address, email address, and details of the ticket / fixture you would like to purchase.
  • They may be used to purchase goods of a higher price than the amount on the voucher, on payment of the difference.
  • Cannot be exchanged for cash or to buy another gift vouchers.

 

Period of validity

Gift vouchers and e-gift vouchers are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase.

Any remaining balance will be cancelled on expiry of the validity period.

 

Cancellation

If you are contracting with us as a consumer online or by phone, you have the right to cancel all or part of your order for either a gift voucher or an e-gift voucher at any time upt to 14 calendar days after the day on which you place your order, provided none of the balance has been spent.

Cannot be returned or refunded, except in accordance with your satutory rights when purchased in error (as outlined above)

 

Redcar Racecourse reserved the right to amend the terms and conditions of gift vouchers and e-gift vouchers at any time and to take appropriate action, including the cancellation of the voucher, if , in its discretion, it deems such action necessary.  This does not affect your statutory rights.
