Ladies are you looking for an excuse to dress up and have a night out? 

Enjoy the glamour of Ladies' Night alongside top quality racing during the evening on Saturday 28th August.

Join us for an evening of racing and fashion, with some glittering prizes up for grabs in our Best Dressed Lady and Best Hat Competitions.

Gents, you're more than welcome to come racing too. Ladies' Night is open to everyone.

Enjoy a boogie to local band The Firebeats who'll be entertaining racegoers in the Grandstand Enclosure during the evening.

This is an outdoor event with no indoor furniture, except in hospitality areas.

How to enter the Best Hat & Best Dressed Lady Competitions

All you need to know about how to become a competition finalist:

If you'd like to be considered for the Best Hat and Best Dressed Lady competitions all you need to do is have your photograph taken by the Best Dressed team at the Flower Wall, located oposite the Winners' Enclosure in the Grandstand Enclosure between gates opening (2pm) and 5pm on Saturday 28th August. 

Then fill in your details and submit your entry into the entries box.

If you are selected as a finalist you will be contacted via telephone and invited to the Winners’ Enclosure for the competitions. 

 

The judging of the Best Dressed Lady Competition will take place in the Winners' Enclosure after the 5th race at 6.10pm. 

The Best Hat Competition will take place after the 6th race at 6.45pm.

If the team cannot get in touch with you by 5.45pm they have the right to select another finalist in your place. 

The competition will run from gates opening (2pm) and 5pm on Saturday 28th August, 2021. After this date no further entries to the competition will be permitted. If you enter after this date, your entry will not be counted.

If you've like to have your photo taken but don't want to be considered for the Best Dressed & Best Hat competitions please come along to the Flower Wall after 5pm.

Do you need to buy your tickets in advance?

Not got your Ladies’ Night admission tickets yet? Don’t panic, you will be able to pay on the day at the entrance turnstiles.

However, Ladies' Night is our most popular social raceday of the season, it’s the day to be seen at the races, so there are always queues at the entrance turnstiles.

Save 20% when you book your tickets in advance 

You can buy your discounted tickets in advance until midnight on Friday 27th August. 

There are no discounts or concessions available on the day.

 

Admission Prices:

Grandstand Enclosure: Pre-Paid £15 / On the day £18
Course Enclosure: Pre-Paid £5 / On the day £6

Buy your tickets in advance & use the Fast Track Entrance.

We always advise racegoers to buy their admission tickets in advance.

When you’ve already got your ticket you’ll have a fast track entrance into the Racecourse enclosures and so miss the queues at the turnstiles.

Our admission tickets are all e-tickets. When you buy your e-tickets they’ll be delivered to you email within a minute. If you can access your emails on your mobile phone there is no need to print your e-tickets. When you arrive at the pre paid entrance just have your e-ticket open on your mobile phone ready to be scanned by our entrance gate attendant.

 

What to wear - is there a dress code?

Redcar does not operate a formal dress code so you can wear whatever you like. 

Ladies' Night is an event when our racegoers tend to dress to impress so you'll see lots of ladies in fancy outfits with big hats or fascinators.  However, you don't need to dress up if you don't want to, and jeans are equally acceptable. 

There is no need for gentlemen to wear suits and ties.  Racegoers are advised to wear smart casual clothing, and dress for the weather!

Can we bring a picnic?

Picnics are permitted in the Course Enclosure only.  Racegoers are permitted to bring alcohol into the Course Enclosure however this is limited to personal consumption only - 4 cans or 1/2 bottle of wine per person.  Spirits and glass bottles are NOT permitted.

Racegoers are not permitted to bring any personal supplies of food or drink into the Grandstand Enclosure.  Only refreshments purchased within the racecourse can be consumed in the Grandstand Enclosure.

Patrons are asked to respect the restrictions places on the marked areas of the Racecourse Stands and Enclosures where drinks are not permitted.  Alcohol is permitted outside in plastic glasses.  Broken glass and bottles are dangerous and in the interest of safety and the comfort of others please don not carry drinks into the areas adjacent to the Parade Ring and Unsaddling Enclosure.

Please dispose of your empty glasses and bottles in the containers provided.

Portable / disposable BBQs and Gazebos are not permitted within the racecourse enclosures.  Please do not bring them with you as you will be refused entrance.

Numerous bars and catering facilities are provided within each enclosure.

Is Ladies' Night just for women??

Despite the name of the day, everyone is allowed to come racing on Ladies' Day. 

Men and children are most welcome. 

Also, accompanied children under 18 are admitted FREE to all of our race meetings.

Best Hat & Best Dressed Lady Competition Terms & Conditions

The promoter is: Redcar Racecourse Ltd whose registered office is The Racecourse, Redcar, Tees Valley, TS10 2BY.

 

The competition is open to participants aged 16 years or over with a valid Ladies’ Night ticket allowing access to the Redcar Racecourse Enclosures, except for employees of Redcar Racecourse Ltd and anyone otherwise connected with the organisation or judging of the competition.

 

There is no entry fee to enter this competition.

 

By entering this competition, an entrant is indicating his/her agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.

 

The competition will run from Gates Opening until 5pm on Saturday 28th August 2021. After this date no further entries to the competition will be permitted. If you enter after this date, your entry will not be counted.

 

No responsibility can be accepted for entries not received for whatever reason.

 

The rules of the competition and how to enter are as follows:

By entering this competition, an entrant is indicating his/her agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.

The competition will run until 12 noon on Monday 27th September, 2021. After this date no further “likes” to the competition will not be counted.

The rules of the competition and how to enter are as follows: The winner is the person in the photograph within the Ladies' Night 2021 Flower Wall gallery with the most amount of “likes”. The competition closes at 12 noon on Monday 27th September, 2021.
