Legendary jockey Ruby Walsh brought the curtains down on a phenomenal 24-year tenure in the saddle last night, going out on a high as he lifted Kemboy home in the Irish Gold Cup.

A career that has seen Walsh win just about every major honour imaginable within the sport, his retirement marks the end of an era for National Hunt racing.
