The five-day Killarney festival kicks off today and stages a mixture of Flat and Jumps racing. In recent seasons the festival has played host to future Epsom Derby winners, namely Anthony Van Dyck and Wings Of Eagles, so we could see Aidan O'Brien's next Classic contender in Wednesday's Irish Stallion Farms European Breeders Fund Maiden. Box-office jockey Frankie Dettori is also set to make his Killarney debut this week, with a number of booked rides and no doubt looking to continue his rich vein of form.
