Attention turns to Newmarket this week for the three-day Moët & Chandon July Festival which begins on Thursday. The meeting has seven Group contests with the Group 1 Tattersalls Falmouth Stakes and Darley July Cup amongst the highlights. Aidan O'Brien is out to retain the later and has half a dozen entries.
Elsewhere this week, on Tuesday Pontefract stages the Listed Weatherbys TBA Pipalong Stakes with last year's 1,000 Guineas winner Billesdon Brook set to run. On Thursday Leopardstown has Group action with the Irish Stallion Farms EBG Stanerra Stakes. Jumps fans are then in for a treat on Sunday with both Stratford and Perth staging summer Jumps meetings.
