THE most glamourous couples in the area are under orders for the fashion stakes at Redcar tomorrow.
Redcar Racecourse stages its annual Gin & Gents evening meeting with competitions to win glittering prizes in the Best-Dressed Gent and Best-Dressed Couple competitions.
Back in June, on Ladies’ Day, Faye Canwell was judged to be Redcar’s Best-Dressed Lady, with Emma Syston winning the Best Hat contest.
Now, it’s the turn of the fellas and couples as Redcar stages another stylish occasion.
The Best dressed gent – won last year by Vic Brudenell from New Marske Harriers – wins a £250 voucher from Bakers Tailoring plus a Gents Tissot watch from Market Cross Jewellers.
The Best dressed couple – won last year by Sarah and Andrew Hall – win a pair of BOSS watches.
Judges will include television personality Pam Royle (pictured with husband Mike below) and the runners-up for both competitions will win tickets for the races.
The course’s general manager, Amy Fair, said: “We know how much Redcar racegoers love to have the opportunity to dress to impress, and Gin and Gents evening is always one of our most popular meetings of the year. We can’t wait to see all the glamorous outfits coming through the gates.”
There are seven races on the card, with gates opening at 3pm before the first race at 4.58pm and the last race at 8pm.
