CIEREN Fallon and Danny Tudhope took the honours with doubles at Redcar’s new May evening meeting.
Fallon was quick off the mark when comfortably landing the opening racingtv.com Novice Stakes on the promising William Haggas-trained filly Song of the Clouds.
And the daughter of Night of Thunder, running in the famous black, white and red colours of Anthony Oppenheimer, looks a filly to follow.
"She's got a lot of ability," said the winning rider. "It was very easy. She had a nice debut at Newbury and we expect a lot of her.
“She was on and off the bit but got down to it when she needed to. She'll have learned a lot from that and come on for the run. She'd appreciate more ease in the ground but I liked her."

Fallon’s double came half an hour later when six-year-old mare One Of Our Own won the Download The Raceday Ready App Handicap (Div 1) in the colours of the Rebecca Menzies Racing Club.
The winner trainer said: "She's come back a lot stronger this year and Cieren gave her a great ride. She's been running really well this season and it's lovely to get a winner for the racing club. We've had her since she was a two-year-old and she's better than ever."

Tudhope kicked off his double when Tupero stayed on strongly to win the Market Cross Jewellers Handicap and deny Rebecca Menzies a double with Bruce Banner.
The son of Frankel is trained in North Yorkshire by David O'Meara, and Tudhope said: "He picked up well and won quite convincingly. He's better when he's relaxed and has something to aim at. He stays well."

Tudhope’s double came on Mohmentous, trained at Marlborough by Ollie Sangster, who justified favouritism in the Marske Fabrications & Engineering Handicap.
The winning jockey said: "He's a horse going the right way and is probably ahead of the handicapper."

Run This Way bounced back to form in the Download The Raceday Ready App Handicap (Div 2) in the hands of David Nolan. The mare scored a hat-trick in 2024 but disappointed in 2025.
Trainer Paul Midgley said: "She hasn't won for a long time but didn't really have her ground last year – she never hit form, but I'd be disappointed if she didn't win again now. It was all pretty comfortable."

There was an impressive all-the-way win for the Kevin Ryan-trained Lord Capulet in the Watch Racing TV In Stunning HD Handicap.
Five-pound claimer Jack Nicholls, winning in the Hambleton Racing colours, said: "I spoke to Kevin beforehand and he loves having his head in front. He has a lovely cruising speed and skipped along nicely. He settled lovely and quickened when I gave him a kick. He's probably better than his mark suggests."

Rainbow Nebula shone in the Every Race Live On Racing TV Handicap, outstaying El Matador.
Trained by Richard & Peter Fahey Racing and ridden by Billy Garritty, the gelding is owned by Huddersfield textile mill owner Peter Timmins, and was named by his eight-year-old grandson, Miles, who loves everything to do with space!
"He might not have watched the race because it's close to his bedtime," said Peter. "The horse was quirky in the early days and missed his two-year-old season, so we've had to be patient."
Rainbow Nebula was a disappointing 18th of 22 at Doncaster on his first run of the season, so today was "a watching brief".
"The Doncaster run was awful. We put it down to a bad draw but we couldn't be sure," added Peter.
Billy Garritty said: "He's quite a decent horse and the owner's patience has paid off."

The closest finish of the evening came in the last race, the Watch Race Replays At racingtv.com Handicap, when Auspicious, trained at Malton by Nigel Tinkler and ridden by Alex Jary, won by a nose from I’m Dan Dare.
