MEGAN Toas spends her life organising children’s parties - but she’s planning a celebration of her own after being crowned Redcar’s Best-Dressed Lady.
Megan, who hails from Redcar, was the main winner on Ladies’ Day at her hometown racecourse and said: “I can’t believe it!”
She has her own children’s entertainment business, called Megastarz-Party Productions, and is a regular at Redcar Ladies’ Day.
“We come every year and enjoy dressing up but never think any more of it,” she said. “I was excited to be selected for the final ten, but to win is amazing. It’s my turn to have a party now!”
Megan bought her outfit especially for the races from Coast Fashion.
As Redcar’s Best-Dressed Lady, Megan won a host of prizes:

She will also represent Redcar in the Go Racing in Yorkshire Best-Dressed Final, which will be decided by a public vote after all the Yorkshire courses have chosen their winners.
Runner-up in the Redcar competition was Sydney Berry, of Guisborough, who won a Swarovski White Angelic Necklace Set, kindly provided by Market Cross Jewellers.
Queenie Griffiths, of Redcar, came third, winning a Michael Kors Parker Ladies Watch, also from Market Cross Jewellers.
The Best Hat competition was won by stay-at-home mum Ashleigh Canwell, of Bishop Auckland, wearing a hat from Fascionation Bespoke Milliners, in Guisborough. Helene Price, of Barnard Castle, came second, and Shelby Cockburn, of Redcar, was third.
The judges were Dawn Welsh, from Market Cross Jewellers; Alex Forster, from Host & Stay; and television presenter Pam Royle.
Amy Fair, general manager of Redcar Racecourse, said: “We never cease to be amazed by the lengths ladies go to on one of our premier days of the year, and the standard this year was as good as it’s ever been. Megan is a worthy winner but congratulations to the finalists, and so many other ladies who looked absolutely fabulous.”
