QIPCO British Champions Day - Live on Racing TV!
18/10/19

Racing from Ascot returns to Racing TV this weekend for QIPCO British Champions Day. All six races will be live from 1pm on the channel with a dedicated live stream available on Racing TV Extra through our apps and racingtv.com.

Eight races from Dundalk get the racing weekend underway on Friday evening as part of The Friday Club show with Tom Stanley and Fran Berry. The Group 3 Al Basti Equiworld Mercury Stakes is the evening's highlight and is set to feature some of Britain and Ireland's speediest sorts, including El Astronaute fresh from his placed finish in the Prix de l'Abbaye.

Full SP previews Saturday's racing from 10.30am before we bring you live racing from five meetings including Ascot, Leopardstown, Catterick, Stratford and Market Rasen. Aidan O'Brien's Magical is currently favourite for the QIPCO Champion Stakes and is looking for her second Champions Day win after landing the Fillies & Mares Stakes last year. Leopardstown also provides some Group 3 action in the shape of the Killavullan Stakes which could hold the key to some of next year's Classics.

A high quality day of racing awaits on Sunday. Kempton Park race over obstacles for the first time this season on Jump Sunday and feature a pair of Listed hurdles including the Matchbook VIP Hurdle which was  won by Verdana Blue last year on his way to Scottish Champion Hurdle glory. Action from Cork and Naas complete this weekend's line up.
