ELLIE Kirkham has joined the team at Redcar Racecourse as the new Sales and Marketing Executive.

Thirsk-born Ellie, who graduated from Leeds Beckett University with a degree in events management, has previously been working for North Yorkshire-based Heck Food Ltd.

Ellie said: “I’m really looking forward to being part of a friendly and experienced team at Redcar.

“My background is in events and every raceday at Redcar is a vibrant, colourful event with such a buzz and so much going on. It’s a great new challenge and I can’t wait for the first meeting on April 4.”

Redcar’s general manager Amy Fair said: “Ellie brings great experience in events management as well as an engaging personality and bags of enthusiasm. We’re delighted to have her as part of the team in time for the new season.”
