THIS WEEKEND ON RACING TV - Laurens bows out at Newmarket

The Racing TV cameras will be at seven meetings this weekend with Gowran Park, Tipperary and Newmarket hosting the stand-out fixtures. An all-Irish Friday kicks things off with three Listed races from Gowran Park and Dundalk.
 
On Saturday, the Kingdom of Bahrain Sun Chariot Stakes at Newmarket is a race not to be missed, with last year’s winner Laurens set to face eight rivals when she bids to defend her crown, the race is also set to be her last run. She will renew her rivalry with Joseph O’Brien’s Iridessa and Aidan O’Brien’s dual 1000 Guineas heroine Hermosa.
 
Elsewhere on Saturday, Gowran Park host the Grade 2 PWC Champion Chase with a stellar line-up including Shattered Love, Jury Duty and Yorkhill. Saturday’s action also includes the Listed Redcar Two Year Old Trophy.
 
Tipperary have an eight-race card on Sunday, which features a trio of Grade 3 races including the Joe Mac Novice Hurdle and Like a Butterfly Novice Chase. There is also action at Kelso on Sunday to complete your weekend.
